03/09/09 - Guan Yu is worshipped in China as a symbol of loyalty and rightiousness. He is known by many names, including 'Saintly Emperor Guan the Great God Who Subdues Demons of the Three Worlds and Whose Awe Spreads Far and Moves Heaven' and my favourite, 'Lord of The Magnificent Beard'.
